hi every one? :)
I am changing my interior for a motor sport themed interior by using aluminium door cards. I dont want to put speakers in me doors but i like me music.
So i was wondering if any body knew of a way to get decent sound up front with a decent amount of bass and no door pods? is there a way of hidding some 6 x 9's under the dash and putting tweeters in the o.e speaker positions on the top of the dash?
Thought id ask you guys as some body might of done it already as an ultra stealth sound system.

you can mount tweeters in the original dash position very easily
finding somewhere to put a larger speaker is a case of having a look round for posible locations. not having a mk2 dash in mine I can't look right now.

What about havin some Footwell builds made up? that way you could still have a 6.5" component set up front with the mid bass driver in the build and the tweeter in the dash. BTW where are you getting your alloy door cards from as i am after some?

dizzie: yeah i think i will have to crawl around up side down to try and find some where? :smiley:
bunter: i did think of foot well builds but i think they would get in my way too much. plus i wanna try and hide all the stereo stuff as much as possible. to be certain tho will have to check out a mk2 with foot well builds in to see just how well they can fit and if they would get in me way. :smiley:
regards the ally door cards, i am making them my self :wink: i am hoping to get them finished for the latest newark/A46 meet so if you are gonig you can check them out...... hopfully? :undecided:
