right friend of mine got a pearl grey metalic 8v, him and his dad went and bought 4 weeks ago its was completely standard except the old airbox was replaced with a k and n filter but heres the thing the airflow pipe leading upto the throttlebody was no longer welded so was actually slightly bent up. last sat i re welded this pipe back to were it should have been and all was well for two days. then all of a sudden he was driving back from work and his car broke down, now when you turn the key the car starts but there now seems to be water pissing out of the water flange at the front of the engine we have replaced this water flange but it still seems to leak from there. also you can see the vacuum hose under were the airbox would have been and guess what its not attatched to anything is this a problem? as i always thought the hose was to help the pressure governor work how it should?
help!!!!

Best if you can post some pictures of the offending items?
The water flange might have old gasket sitting on the block its best to get a razor or stainly blade to scrap off gently the old gasket then once clean use some instant gasket (Orange in colour) to seal it up for good! (Use new bolts and washers so you have even torque pressure on the flange!

nice to see your up early mate yeah thanks fro the advice il get some pics on later for you. right going to have look at the flange now, forgot to put that my mate put v power fuel in it before it died could this have heated it up to quick? do you think the vaccum hose is causing a problem ?? what is its function?

Fuel will have nothing to do with the water flange it does sound like you have a few problems with the vacum run off pipes
what engine is it?

give me an hour or so mate and i will get some pics engine code etc. thanks.
