Title: New Car Time!
Post by: SteveP on 19 November 2010, 21:53
Well it feels like it

A few more jobs completed this week.

First a 30k service, then the fitting of the KW V3 coilovers and finally the production version of the Revo 2 software.

The car really feels totally different, the handling is just in another league and the perform from the stage 2 software is great.

However still feel the performance needs a "boost2, so look what else has arrived to help this along

Mr. P
I'm thinking of installing stage 2 ? to get rid of the hesitation after installing the Milltek and Carbonio, can i do this without the Intercooler upgrade ??

Yep stage 2 doesn't require the IC

I have been running stage 2 for the best part of 7 months with no issues without the IC.

How do you find the ride now? Had coilovers on my Polo but swore I would never go back to them, very bumpy and back breaking

Any info on the turbo

It's not quite a direct fit, a small bit of machining in needed on the manifold to make it a straight bolt on.

Cost wise this was a brand new unit that someone had bought from VW for £1200 but decided not to fit it, so got it for a bragin

No clutch change needed as I have a DSG gearbox. But If I was in a manual car I would be planning for the helix clutch, I think you might be needed it at stage 2 sometime soon anyway give the torque levels the car is putting out.

Still working on who will be mapping it.
