Title: DV pressure release...+ other bits
Post by: Big Tone on 19 November 2010, 17:06
Done loads on the beast today, thermostat, coolant change, replaced all cable ties with mini hose clips, rear caliper investigation, bit of work on the rear washer, pressure test and full wash.

When I did the pressure test, my DV (Forge 007P), was allowing air to re-circ back into the TIP at approx 1 Bar, this I thought was a bit low, so I have shimmed the spring (Yellow forge) to make the DV "lift" at roughly 1.2 Bar, see if she holds a bit more boost.

Will this F**K anything up? Haven't driven her yet.

Also, has anyone replaced the offside rear handbrake cable before? that needs doing.

Shiming the spring is fine as lots of people do it to fine tune as the springs are mass made they can vary in opening times. Can't see handbrake cable being that tricky.
