:laugh:i'm not sure what my car is the service paper work says gti some anyway and the guy at the garage say its just a 1.8 cabri its on a b plate can any one help :undecided: :rolleyes:

Like the above post just said, surely a big clue would be whether you a carb (or not)?

what did it say?
mine does not say gti on the log book but it is,
mine has golf cc convertible cabriolet, i know it is a gti as i have the original sales brocure for it and its called a gti there, so it may be like mine your is a limited edition and therfore listed by its limited status and not by the more general gti

How about getting the chassis number and ringing VW up and asking, might be worth a try :undecided: By the way, mines a special edition but it still says GTI on the logbook so who knows what the industry norm is with regards to V5 docs and names etc :undecided:
