Hi all,
Need your help plz. Whenever I downshift a couple of times (aggressive driving) I loose the gear display at the top right corner and get instead "MFI" displayed. This is quite annoying as sometimes you mixup 3rd with 2nd and 2nd with 1st!
I couldnt find anything in the manual or in this forum, is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks

I did notice this the other day but there was a reason for it. Can't remember what it was, maybe the ping 70mph speed check thing appearing then clearing as that always leaves MFI displayed for a few seconds.

Are you saying you need a display to tell you which gear your in???

That was my thoughts as well.
How could you possibly mix up 3rd with 2nd and 2nd with 1st?!
5th with 3rd and 6th with 4th maybe.

Unlike in manual, With the DSG it is easy to mix them up (thanks Runrabbit)
Ajmoir36 : u were right, it is the 70 mph ping, thanks

Even with DSG surely if your on a "aggressive drive" you should still be aware of the gear your going for??

Just goes to show drivers with DSG cars are utterly clueless. :smug:

Why would anyone require a display to inform them of which gear they're in....the car only has 6 gears....!
I'm not taking the mick pal !
Personally I don't require the display to display which gear I'm in, however it is there for a reason and therefore should work accurately. If it doesn't there is a loose connection between the the gearbox and the electrics, seek professional advise unless you're an expert here !
