Title: interface not found?

hey all,

i bought a vag-com cable and it came with version 409.1 us.

i have installed everything with it, when i plug it into the car it says i need to do a test first and then save the file. it gives a few options of ports to test, they all come up with nothing except 'com3' and 'usb' where it says -

port status: ok
interface: not found

and i cant do anything on it as the save button is not highlighted,

and ideas?

i might be wrong, if i am then sorry!
p.s mate of mine had this prob so he sent the lead back and got a elm327 that came with the cds (vag-com & all other stuff)

already sorted thanks mate, turns out that it is the right cable but when installed xp registered as port 8 so had to change it to port 3, all working now
