Title: New Member In Need Of Assistance!
Post by: louloubelle on 16 November 2010, 13:49
Hello to everyone.  I'm new to the forum and in need of some assistance.  I have a P-reg MK3 8V GTi which has a tendency to stall when cold and occassionally when hot.  When I start her up there appears to be little or no choke, which obviously causes the stalling. It idles below 1000rpm.  Alas, as this morning was the 1st cold one of the year, the car turned over but would not start.  Other than this it is a great car so I would like to get the problem fixed!  Relay 30 has been changed, injector cleaner has been run through it and the top breather hose has been changed.  Any pointers would be gratefully received!

Hi and Welcome!

Firstly i would check here : http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=8.0

If you still cant see what you are looking for then use the search button at the top and see if that narrows it down a bit.

Once mine has warmed up a bit it idles at about 800rpm so that looks normal
