Hi all
Anyone know if there was mk2 3dr syncro in rhd cos all the ones i find aint !!!!
-
Lhd only from memory.
-
Does that mean a five door

nothing wrong with more doors. Easier to get more hoes in (or kids in my case)
-
5 door only and only 650 of those.
Why not buy LHD?
Either just deal with it, or convert to RHD. It really wouldn't be that tough. I know there's at least two LHD Syncros that have been converted. One's a Limited and t'other's just a boggo Syncro 3 door.
-
Suppose it would be easyer to weld and smooth the back doors of a five door, rather than change from left to right hd.
Only ever driven a 5dr golf once and that was my mums !!!
-
Does that mean a five door
Nowt wrong with 5drs, it means you haven't got to get out to let people in.
And you can get a 3dr syncro, but it'll have a supercharged lump in it, and the steering wheel on the wrong side.
-
Dont do left hookers
Did the five door have a longer shell ???
been on here less than 24hours and ive upset members who drive lhd and 5dr !!!
doin well

Nope both the same

This is a hideous idea and you should be flayed for considering it.
RHD conversion would likely be significantly less work, plus while you're at the purchasing you could buy an injected model and have the lift-pump pre-installed, saving further aggro.

Yes, it's called the G60 GTI Syncro.

Lets get back to the point I NEED A SYNCRO !!!!
will be an f plate 5dr relisted on fleebay next week but he wants £1500 got 200,000 on the clock and its had to be welded !!!
but other than that i keep drawing a blank, any leads would be welcomed
-
if you want 3dr RHD make it.
converting LHD golf to RHD is easy all the bits are avalible off the shelf or donor car all the holes are there, all you have to do is drop the subframe swap the steering rack and pas pipes, whip the dash out remove the pedal box, put bungs in holes and reseal floor, whip the fusebox and wireing looms and heater boxes and ducting out. and then fit parts from donor car to the other side.
the only more intrestig bit is stock RHD syncro exhausts are sh!t so you'll need to make one

Given that there were only 650 of them built in RHD and a significant number have already been scrapped I think you've missed your chance at a cheap Syncro, chap.
Even on mobile.de they're starting at +800 Euros, although for 1600 Euros you could net yourself a 2.9 VR6 Syncro Golf3...... but you need not to be so narrow-minded about sitting on the 'wrong' side of the car.
