i have a mk4 130 tdi 51 plate and while i was sat waiting in the local car park the car started to shake on tick over, it did this for about a minute until i reved it up.
is this the MAF causing the problem if so do i need a new one or can it be cleaned
or is it some thing else?
i hope some one has the answer to my little problem
thanks for all and any help on this

Get it on Vag-Com to scan for fault codes.
Anything else abnormal for instance the temperature needle shooting up and down?
-
temp is on 90 which seems normal. as it go's to 90 all the time and has never gone past it.
-
I would get it scanned mate. Where abouts are you?
-
wiltshire, i have a local vw garage about 10 miles away, i will drop in on monday and ask them to have a look on the way back from work
-
Ohh expect them to charge you a fortune for diagnostics. Where abouts in wiltshire? If your willing to travel I can scan it for nothing.

Just remember not to rule the MAF out if it don't come up on a scan as the MAF rarely comes up anyway.
You'd need to do some logging to find out if it's defo gone or not.
