.... and yes i did drive with the roof down (only in the dark though)

Passat for me.
Diesel though. Fine for a day but I would have been bored stupid with it after a while.
Whatever you get you'll love getting your GTI back.

I think I just threw up in my mouth when I saw this picture.
About 2 months ago, I had a courtesy car. It was a Vauxhall Insignia which I renamed 'the Vauxhall Incest' amidst other names not suitable for pre-watershed consumption. A shopping trolley or mobility scooter has more appeal.

What you need to do is, when you ring up to book your service, ask when they have a suitable loan car or even a nice sales demo vehicle available. Even if you have to wait a couple of weeks, it'll be worth it.
I had a Passat CC last time.
-
Either that or tell them your thinking of buying a new Golf,Passat etc and ask if they have one you can use whilst yours is in for service, i'm sure they'll find one from somewhere.

Comes to something when Mk2 owners have to tell the Mk6 boys how to blag a ride in a nice car

I like your motor looks awsome that does

Ahhhhh I remember the days when I used to take my car to VW for a service. First VW service and they gave me a 1.2 Polo. Was great little motor, almost saw the valves bouncing off the bonnet :D

Cheers fella

Oak green, the only colour for a MK2 to be.
+1 on loving it !
-
everything was fine in the service. the door rattle i have will have to be booked in seperately.
going back to the VW Fox, bloody thing was horrible. Wind up/down windows and no central locking.

No chance. I've waited 20 years to have this car.

If you do sell give me a shout enjoy lovely car

They put me in a new standard simple Polo...
There was nothing wrong but still....I will truly swear before a Grand Jury that I was driving a car which was dangerous, broken down...brakes...gas...steering everything seemed to go wrong after I stepped out of my GTI..... :lipsrsealed:

Thats the one....my first (realistic) fantasy car !!
Back when I was in high school the mk2's had just come out and this is the one which I wanted, even though I was only 10 years old !
This is the one which drew me to Golf's....!
Can I buy it...?!!!

Ouch, that must have hurt...!
I would much prefer my wife's W-reg Corsa, even if it is a bright marine-ish blue, 1.2 16v (light, so nippy!)
I remember one episode of TopGear, and Jezza gave his Ford GT in and they gave him something really crappy (can't remember what though).

That particular TopGear rerun is currently on, well you know (Dave). They gave Jezza a Toyota Corolla Verson (mpv) as a courtesy for his Ford GT !!!
Not even a straight car-for-car swap !
