Title: head change ?
Post by: new(ish)dubber on 11 November 2010, 23:48
Does anyone know if i can do a head change to run spi or mpi ? my cars a mk2 1.8 driver i think the head off a mk3 1.8 might fit to run spi but is is there a head with mpi i could use like a mk2 or mk3 8v ?

spi heads are crap,  the spi system is craper.

yeahh i thaught someone would say that, i had spi on my mk3 golf and it was sh!te tbf well basically my cars a 1.8 driver with a gti cam, gti box and a webber and its running around 108 bhp am i going to see a considerable loss in bhp losing the webber ? and if so where does the 8v gti make up the rest of the bhp ? since with mpi i will effectively have a 8v gti won't i ? and also will the loom for mpi plug straight in ? i've got a late spec one with hazards on the column
