sat in my golf its a 2000 agu if it helps chatting to my mate like you do when the revs started bouncing up and down then the temp guage went down to zero and back up to 90 about three times then the out side temp statred to rise from 3degrees to 11degrees its got issues any ideas anyone please cheers col :sick:

hmm, did the battery/oil lights come on when all this was going on? were the engien revs actually bouncing or was it just the dash rev needle doing it

no other lights mate and it was hunting about just had oil and filter done with fully synth 5w 30s and a new fuel filter also noticed some arse has drilled the airbox too :grin:

Get a new temp sender. Easy to change and you can at least rule it out for the sake of £10. Don't be tempted with a cheapo ebay one, go to Euro or VW for a genuine one ;)

running like a dream now with its new oil and fuel filter and plugs booked in at local vw/audi specialist for full scan and health check on thurs jr hughes in hyde if anyone knows them had audi before these guys are sh!t hot only charging me £30 :smiley:
