Title: MY11 remap options?
Post by: RunRabbit on 09 November 2010, 18:36
Has anyone had their encrypted ECU remaped? Is there a "removable" option like the bluefin?

Cheers in advance

if its encrypted then it will have to be done on the bench i.e. taken out of the car. So probably no point as the dealer will know its been removed.

+1.
Not a good idea. VW are getting quite tough re. this.
In fact, they checked my car the last time it was in and commented, 'So you have not re-pmapped it yet?' Bloody cheek!

Are there any inline or piggyback options? More power and better mpg appeals to me.

Piggyback ones for Diesels are there, but for petrol, I am not too sure.

Any links?

Hmmm, these tuning boxes seem to just adjust the boost pressure and chuck in a bit more fuel. Seems a bit amateur to me, I'll probably wait until there's a credible product.
