Now then bud alright ? yeh its a little flying machine! not that i drive it fast at all..
Not really going for air filter i don't think, I put one in the other day when you first did it, and it didn't seem to like it.
There is a pipe attached to the airbox and i didn't know where to put that so i left it off. Would that have an effect ?

How is your project going ?
Ill have a look for a build thread

Thanks Wayne

Yeah it probably would affect it it you put it on straight after the remap. Did this straight pipe have a sensor on it? It would like it if the maf sensor wasn't attached. I personally think you should have a look at a performance panel filter. It is debatable but they give better gains then a cheap induction kit.

Yeah check my build thread out, its called my 5dr sleeper.

Yer i have looked at panel filter, ill get one today and see how it goes. I cant really explain the pipe other than using this

You can see at 27 seconds, he has the little pipe attached to the induction kit

Mmm not 100% sure as it is too quick going around that area but it looks like a breather pipe? Can you take a pic of you engine and around the air filter box. Did you get a panel filter? Think you should change the colour of your wheels too, really like the tt wheels and they look awesome on mk4's but I have see another red one running same wheels but in black with. Red lip and it looked really smart.

ill take one tomorrow morning, just got back from rugby, and if i move.. i could possibly die.
I will have a play around with photoshop and put some pictures up, see if i can get these alloys perfected.

Do you know if my golf had the eco map on it before ? as i am getting less mpg, still around 55-65 but i used to get 70+
Completely fine if it did.. just making sure that everything is okay with it

Mmm if we are talking about that standard map then you where doing well to get 75mpg. It wouldnt have been an economy map as your car is the gt which basically is a sport diesel. With the new map you should be getting about the same but how are you driving it? The same as before or are you a little pedal happy?

Errr i think its alot more dependent on my foot. I used to be able to average 48+ at least even having fun.
But now it will stay at like 70 until i put my foot down and it will drop to like 35/40. Teaching me not to really around i guess!

Yeah i get it now, so you are getting about 70mpg now driving like you would before but when you put your foot down then it will drop to about 35/40? This is normal as the map is requiring it to put more fuel in when you put your foot down, this is why you get better performance. This is normal and like i said, you will only notice a difference if you drive it like you drove it before i.e you are now getting 70mpg. Did you manage to get new panel filter for it?
