Whats the biggest size wheels possible to get on a mk2 gti? H plate, 1990, without any modification? it's all standard at the moment.

And should they get changed or keep the BBS's?

depends what you want? is it lowered? you can fit 17's i think if its standard ride height but it would look crap as hell!!! like a feckin monster truck.

most people would say stick to 15's. what sort of bbs are they?

Have a look at my golf gti 16v on 17s hard hard ride and its lowered 60mm  looks the nads but i do like the bbs with a slammed ride

if thats 60mm then mines 70mm.   :undecided:

Fitted some 17's on yesterday. Ride aint that harsh. the 15's were back breaking harsh  :laugh:

Well its low enough for me and 60mm was what i was told by the spring company ............. but whats 10mm between friends!!! :wink:         Speed bumps round my estate have pulled off the arch trim 3 times this weekend im getting pretty pissed of with it! :angry:

i fitted 17s to my beast and lowered it 60mm and i had to have the arches rolled at the rear cos everytime i went over a bump they rubbed  :sad:

...did you roll the arches yourself or have it done somewhere?  If so , where?
