Does look in mint conditon, been well looked after. Put that one in my watch list, not to buy but to see what it goes for  Think it was Clipperjay who had posted before about looking for one???
-
Want :lipsrsealed:
-
Want one of those so bad, already on my watch list.
-
At least he's not selling 'due to new baby on the way'.
Look tidy
-
Looks like a good one, my other half has had a couple of these :)
-
the link isnt working for me and killing my internet, but i will say id much prefer the g40 supercharer off the polo than the polo itself, lol
-
Now who wants my MK5 then? Need it gone so I can go old school again...olop was my first VW...were the seats tartan in these? Can't remember?
-
It was me who wanted a G40, white doesn't float my boat, nice car though just not ticking the right boxes
-
Ill have ya white rally then
-
Haaa that white Rallye is worth about 50K its an orignal WRC 1991
I wish I owned that one
-
if only it was a one litre
-
Are you the lad looking to get your first car?
Why don't you get a PUG 1.1 cheap as chips on insurance or go old skool and get a Polo GT?
-
polo coupe 1.0 cl is the cheapest thing on insurance at £990, polo is around £1200 so rather not spend as much as I need all the money I can get for my college course payment.
-
I'm sure Tescos was the lowest for new drivers?
I was thinking about the Mk1 polo with carb LOL
-
tesco want over £2000, i'm paying all upfront with admiral, just awaiting a cheque from the solicitors then the car hunt is on!
-
Ok I don't know the full story then?
-
my dad is getting some money from a family friend's will, he's lending me some money to get insured so I will have to work my socks off to get him paid back £1500 in 6 months whilst I go college also as I don't get any money from the government from going to college, don't see why people go college just for the £30 a week, I do it as I want to build my own company and be an electrician and have a trade for life, was looking at a bora but £2200 insurance and just really want something cheap to keep me going and to get me to work..
-
So you have no points and just passed @ 17?
-
no points, 18, had license since sept 2009, bought a mk3 1.4 se but insurance was over £3000 so sold to my dad, which he still owns
-
Really is it some messed up location postcode you live?
My wife passed four years ago and first insurance on a 204 Pug 1.1 was like £500??
£3K
So why dont you get you old mans name you on a third party mini or what we used to do was buy a wreck not drivable, with insurance you can allways get and wait a year for a years no claims discount I would wait?
-
my area isn't the best, I live right by r-tech, the insurance is my policy with parents as named drivers, both have over 25+ years driving, 25+ years ncb, no incidents or points ever, most my friends pay well over £2000 for insurance, I was chuffed when I got a quote of £990, have had a quote of £12,000 but that was on a sierra cossie
don't forget that 17-25 year old insurance (especially male) has gone up alot recently and my dad won't let me go on his insurance incase I have an accident and it affects him.
-
I feel for you luke and other young drivers it seems that a car is defo a luxury these days than necessity?
How about a 2 stroke 125CC motor bike?
-
parents won't let me have a motorbike
the golf wasn't my first car, had a paper round when I was 14 (not going to lie, I still help my dad do it each week, £10 for a hours walk is great!), I bought a 97 p reg astra 1.6 s, paid £125 and sold next week for £325, even though the lad I sold it to got caught driving with no tax or mot or insurance and now it's a tin can
-
No shame earning for a living, you seem to be on the right track mate, I'm still shocked about the cost today for young drivers! When I got my first insurance quote back in 1990 it was £800 third party on a Fiesta 1.1 canary yellow LOL! They fetch good money now
-
good thing about this polo coupe quote is I can go fully comp for £50 extra
-
Yeah silly not to mate which means you can at least run a decent condition one and not such a sh!tter
-
What a lovely motor looks mint any luck finding your polo Luke mate insurance is a wayne kerr when I fist passed £1050 third party f&f on a fiesta 1.2 zetec soon comes down though with ncb
-
hope it does go down, my only problem is that I go college and will have to find work on the days i don't just to pay for my car and have no money left for clothes or any other luxurys..
good thing is I've got a day of work next week, about 5 hours just walking around town handing out leaflets and I make £65
-
itll go down a lot after the first year mate. Those £1800 quotes after a year would get ya a 1.8t
-
3000 for a 1.8t for a year, don't want to go for a golf next though, i'd like a bora diesel but won't be financially viable
-
What 3k with 1 years nc plus well in your case two years experience. On my 1.8t it would of been £1300 with 1 years nc and two years licence held, but I had two years nc so it was £1250 saved £50, a pisstake!
