Hi guys, im having more problems with my golf :(
Now last post i was having problems with the idle possable the idle valve, but we changed the timing on the engine and car run smootley again untill last night :( , I was driving home on motorway 70isshhh all way, come to exit and slowed down and car was idling up and down again which was fixed 2 weeks befor hand.
Recently befor all the problems i had a kent cam installed while installing the cam the distributor died, so we got one out the scrappy which seams to work fine.
Now as the car continues to cut out or idle up and down, i decided to change the dizzy cap and rotor arm today, but doing so has made car worse, i think the guy sold me the wrong rotor atm as when driving along car jutters and seams like its miss fireing or poss rotor arm catching, i checked the dizzy cap and seams to be on correctly not at an angle so dont think its that on wrong. Im going to put the old rotor arm bk on in the morning and see if that changed the julting.
But main prob is the engine idle/cutout prob , could it still be bad timing of the engine or could it be the wrong distributor or old distributor on last legs, or even the idle valve?????????????????????????

get all new ignition components from gsf, good gear and it will all fit properly. if its a digifant 8v do a search for idle issues, ive answered this about 60 billion times
