i was just looking over the engine untill i noticed some oil comming from the left hand side spark plug, after chaging them all i noticed that all of the THREADS of the spark plugs had oil on them, someone said its the steam valve seals? is that true? as the engine was rebuild in feb this year. just need comfirmation thats all. the 1st spark plug (left hand side) was the worse.
all help much appreciated
thank you

more likely you just have a rocker cover leak and its worked its way down the threads. if you have oil leaking up the threads from inside the head you have greater issues than stem seals

no leak from rocker cover. the spark plugs where abit loose didnt have to use any energy to undo them either. what issue can that be then? il just take it back to the bloke and get him to do a PROPER rebuild!

if loose then that could explain it, clean up threads and the holes and nip em up again (dont use uber force, only aluminium threads!) just nip up. keep an eye on it :)
-
but what i dont understand is that where did that oil come form?

Use a torque wrench, then you know it is tight enough.
