Title: bank1 camshaft adjustment-n205 open circuit

hey guys n gals i have a monumental problem with my golf 1.8 n/a, ive looked everywhere for information on this fault and there is s**t all can anybody help me im tearing my hair out andy information will help i need to no where if possible i can get this part from, how, much and possibility of fixing it
here is the code i got from the snap-on modis

17936 bank1, camshaft adjustment - N205 open circuit P1528

at a guess that sounds like a camshaft position sensor gone down

apparently the bloke whom i bought it from replaced both cam and crank sensor before i got it he is a m8 and i dont expect him to lie to me so thats ruled out. i phone dealers part dept and they said they have a cam actuator part no. n205 but its way too much for me to be bothering about he also said that its a special order and its not a common problem

find an engine thats gone bang and nick off that. plenty of them

could be a faulty camshaft sensor from new it does happen.

lol tryin to find one inb corwall is a real pain in the ass no1 has a gti in the scrapyards ill post on here for people in cornwall but if u know any1 breaking a gti my no. is 07843105598
