"Freak like Me."
You can all sit back and worship the guy who spends 10 hours a day cleaning his Fiesta. Suprised he still so fat.

10 hours... part timer
-
lmao, as above 10 hours is nothing.
-
Lol
10 hours is what I spend on show weekends, but i reckon you mega serious Lads could double that easy couldn't ya?
-
Yeah, but this 10 hours isn't a one off, it's like every other day!!
And, apparently the stuff left over after a wash, that you remove with a clay bar, is called "Fallout."
Learn something new every day.
P.S I've never owned/used a clay bar. There I've said it.
Jonathan.

:D
-
He can't be that good....he was only using ONE bucket.
Silly boy.
-
He was only using one bucket that you could see...
I'd say he was completely normal, Dodo supernatural Shampoo & Wax, lots of other good gear and cleans his car 3 times a week! Nothing wrong with that!
Im guilty of the same, you spend so much money on having a nice car, its got to be clean all the time! All for it!
-
@robz yes we do spend quite a large amount of time on a detail but it completely depends on size and condition of the car and what its having done.
@the flying elvi yes claybars are for removing fallout(small metal particals) and general contamination ie road grime, exhaust fumes that collectivly build up on the paint, and tar, claying should only be done 2/3 times a year. tar that needs removing throughout the year during your wash process can be removed via tar and glur remover.
-
Can't wait to start claying!
Not gonna bother till next year though!!
-
i miss the days i used to spend so long cleaning my cars outside my moms house
i missed this programme, god damn it!!
i have a clay bar kit, but havnt used it yet, i keep putting it off

if you havent done so already i would suggest doing it before winter, they throw alot of salt down in winter as you well know and this will get into your paint if there are any micro particles or fallout in the paint, getting your paint fully clean and sealed up before winter will protect it.
-
Oh ok then, lol
Will treat myself to some in a few weeks after payday lol
-
Clay is great, I hadn't used it until last year, I always though it was just marketing talk. Soon shut me up though when I turned the clay over and saw the amount of crap there  Leaves the paintwork feeling like freshly cleaned glass, real smooth with no roughness.

its great stuff, going years back we only used to have fallout remover which was a very expensive liquid fallout remover, was very dodgy stuff to use, very hazadous for health and dodgy for the car if used wrong, claying is much more user friendly and like you said it leaves the paint very smooth ready for polishing.
-
does anyone want to clay my car, i pay in cups of tea, hob nob biscuits and washers, lol

5:30 in if anyone wants to see it.
What a hideous pug  I like that in the survey only one other person washed their car as much - obviously didn't survey very thoroughly then!
-
That pug isnt hideous my friend that is a totally one off car designed and made by ecosse peugeot the whole bodykit was designed for that car and him.. I take my hat off to him as the car was brand new when he butchered it all up and i think it looks ok..
Was featured in max power a while back.. 207 GTI i believe..
If i paid that money i would clean it a lot.. but like he said his single.. no kids.. lives with parents.. why not lol ??
-
jesus... I just watched it
tbh I think I am about 10x worse than him in the cleaning stakes... he doesn't really have much of a collection does he?! and he just seems addicted to dodo stuff...
hmmm
anyway... talking about fallout... if you REALLY want to remove fallout, including bonded iron contaminates then this is the stuff that you should be using... it is AWESOME (but stinks to high heaven)

It's an ecosse "creation". Meaning he paid them lots of money and they did essentially what they want. :undecided:
Actually it looks an awful lot like a standard 207 Gti with the pug lion sticker you could get.
His storage thing didn't seem that big and as Guy said he didn't actually have a lot of stuff. If was cleaning it properly and knew what he was doing he wouldn't have to spend 10 hours on it every time he cleaned it.
-
i noticed this too... and i thought similar...
i mean... you could easily do half hour a week after a decent detail and maintain a very good standard
-
hes fat so needs something to stop him from eating for 5 mins no ??
-
i saw this the other day, been getting abuse at work since
think this poor chap has been badly represented on the show, or he's dafter than me. and i'm ginger. :embarassed:
did anyone else notice whilst he was claying the top of the car, the bottom of the bumper was dirtier than a kingswood bird
thought you washed it before claying? :lipsrsealed:
anyway i reckon some of the wiser chaps should contact them to show the world (mainly those in my office) that cleaning your car is only slightly less healthy a hobby than watching football
seems car cleaning/detailing is like modifying's cavedwelling, slobbering half brother speaking to the great unwashed at work. most can understand making a car louder/faster/prettier but not cleaning it with anything other than a brillo pad.
i'm not even good at it/that interested in the technical crap. i just like shiney cars and bought some decentish gear to stop me ruining it more than i was using a sponge :embarassed:
yet everyone seems to think i've got ocd now. so what if all my pens HAVE to line up, or i can't sleep if i haven't set and reset my alarm 3 times in a row? ACtually maybe i do...
