Due to the huge LPG tank in my boot the arse end has become deciedly saggy, looking like its on its original springs again!
So Guys Gall and everyone else...How do I go about getting the lardy arse end back to its orginal stance?
its a 16v so perhaps....8v springs for the extra 35mm?, those rubber inserts for towing?, Coilovers
All ideas welcome!
-
lower the front to match
-
Coilovers everytime if ya can afford them.
-
8v springs wil onlyl give you an extra 15mm
think your getting confused, the 16v sits 15mm lower than an 8v which sit 20mm lower than standard
yep coilovers is the only way you be able to set the height correctly, either that or stiffer springs on the rear
-
Cheers Gambit, I thought the 8v sta the same as the driver, and the 16v was 35mm lower than those!
Anyone got any coil overs going cheap?
-
Good luck! Did you get your lpg sorted in the end then?
-
Should be sorted tomorrow, but the suspension is becoming a problem, as I nearly took my Back box off the other day!

Welcome to the world of modified cars!
I never had a problem with the last one, it wasn't about dropping it 1 or 2", it was about raising it 2 or 4"! hehe. Currently sits 4.5" higher on the body and 12" overall.
Still, this one handles a little better!
-
What you want it higher!?!
We all want lower!

Finally got the pics on my sig sorted.....as you can see, my last project was a little different. That sits a foot higher than a standard Landy now

Alright mate,
Did you get the LPG conversion done while you owned the car or did you buy it like that? I'd love to convert mine but it seems a bit on the expensive side for a fifteen year old motor.
-
Its not expensive at all if you do it yourself and buy the parts second hand from the likes of ebay. Its reall easy to install if your good with your hands. If you need any help with what you need then give me a shout and i will point you in the right direction.
