Hello all,
After a bit of help/some suggestions please!
Currently trying to remove the rear brake caliper carrier on my MK3 so I can get the disc rotor off and replace the wheel bearings.
I'm using the guide (http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/dreed/Campingart/jettatech/rearbrakes/index.htm) but the only bit that doesn't make sense is how to remove the 8mm allen key bolts (http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/dreed/Campingart/jettatech/rearbrakes/Dsc03061.jpg) - there is absolutely no way that technique will work!
I've had the bolt soaked in penetrating lube all afternoon, but even with a 2 foot long lever on my allen key I can't get the bolt to budge! Tried 'shocking' it by hammering the allen key but no luck... Yes, I am going the right way
Any ideas? Break out the blowtorch? Give the head of the bolt a good smack to try and shock it loose?
Thanks!
Adam
