Title: Car door speakers?

if i wanted to increase the wattage of the speakers (Basically upgrading the door speakers) would i have to get a amp to power them or does the head unit i buy already have a mini amp or something? Thanksss

Entirely depends on the headunit. Some head units I.e standard mk4 golf head units don't even have a 20 watt output. Some aftermarket ones have a much greater ouptput and can power speekers.

Look for the output of the headunit and what power the speekers need. If the speekers need a greater power then chances are you will need a amp.

Aftermarket HU's that state 4x50w will do 4x25wrms ish.

Ideally you want to match the speakers to the amp. 50w speaker, 50w amp.

Only ever use rms figures with power rating.
