For Heaven's sake, how rude. Mayfair is my scene, dwarling! Just kidding, but I wish. Could earn big dosh. Happens a lot on the top floor bar at the Hilton!
Re Bromley: I read this somewhere. It is particularly infested with rent boys. Why Bromley? Probably you can call it Bumley?

I've been upto that Mayfair Hilton bar recently. Amazing views out over London....... but bloody hell the price of the drinks is a bit on the high side. Its well worth a visit, but for one or two drinks at the most unless you want to take out a small mortage or trade your GTI in

Bromley just down the road from me. Its actually quite a nice part of town. I wasnt a silver one by any chance as Snoopy said someone over in our section posted a picture of a silver GTI with no rear bumper on it :(

Amazing views I must admit. Good fun.

Martin, also go to the Landmark. Quite amazing inside. Pity about the murder by the Saudi Prince. Saw the swine once or twice with his manservant in tow.

Have you tried the Intercontinental Hotel Cookbook Cafe in Park Lane..... we've been there with friends a few times recently and its fantastic.

If you go for the weekend brunch which I think is £49 per head you get real high quality food. Best of all included in the price is unlimited champagne, Bloody Marys, Bellinis, Martinis.... Book a Monday of from work though so you can really indulge!

I've not been there but will now certainly try it on your recommendation.

Can you believe Gilly has gone from 18" Monza Shadows to 17" wheels. Being the forum Crash Bandit, he should go for 15" wheels to be on the safe side!

I know, I would have happily gave him my interlagos wheels to save him the embarressment of putting the 17's on....

Unreal.

How did they get the front bumper off without opening the bonnet?

I would imagine they just levered the grill out, all the screws are in the arches and under the grill.  What absolute bastards, I would be devastated if that were my car.

Why?

What's the market for GTI bumpers??? They don't fit other Golfs do they?

I think mk5 bumpers are more similar to other models than the mk 6. Still unreal.

What a mad world we live in.

Each time I see those pictures I feel anger and disgust. Quite horrible for that owner.
Strikes a nerve, me being the Bumper Bandit.

I am not sure but replacements + painting +  fixing any other bodywork damage + damaged front grille + fitting etc would probably be £600+.
