Hi
I am interested in getting a rear spoiler fitted to my Golf GTI 1.8T which I will be getting on 1st September (Can't wait) ;D
So, where would be the best place to get one? I live near Manchester area.
I assume they come unpainted? I would require it to be silver, also prefer it to be fitted also.
Thanks for any recommendations.

Try an R32 spoiler they look well cool, available from www.vagparts.com or your vw dealer, they come primed and ready to paint, got one on my tdi 150.

Don't bother with the Eurocarparts copy of the standard VW (votex) spoiler as there have been a number of owners reporting problems with paint bubbling up after fitment - the VW item may be more expensive but it is a better product and is therefore money well spent!

So are they easy to fit then?
I was quoted ?285 for the VW spoiler and painted somewhere down south, by a VW branch.
I've emailed our parts dept up here in Nottingham to see if its any cheaper.
Has anybody fitted one themselves?

Thats about what I was quoted.
I like Carls idea of the R32 spoiler now (cheers m8) , so I will nip down to my local VW garage today to have a look at the various types before ordering one.

Went down to my local VW garage today and ordered a spoiler - the one with the cut out for the bee sting aerial which comes into play when the boot is opened.
?99 for the spolier and about ?130 for the paint job and fitting.
Not bad IMO for a dealer, I would do it myself but am a bit nervous drilling holes in an 18,000 car !
