Title: Mk3 Cup Holder (US Spec)

Hi Everyone

I managed to get my grubby mits on a US Spec VW Cupholder for the Mk3.

Where the hell does it fit? :laugh:

currently it is sitting in the centre console, it doesnt look out of place but im not sure if thats where its meant to go????




anyone else got one?   I will grab some pics when i finish work and post them up.

cheers - i thought so too but just wanted to double check bcos it looks a bit cheap not actually being fixed to anything..

ah well atleast i wont be spilling my coffee everywhere in the mornings now :cool:

It's made for a left hand drive where the dash is the other way around and that cubby hole is facing the opposite way for the cup holder to fit perfect. I heard you can trim it somehow to get it to fit snuggly.

There is a little pointy thing on the back which im planning on cutting off, it should fit there nice & snug hopefuly.  I just wanted to make sure it was in the right place before i hacked it lol

i saw one of them in the same scrappy, he wanted £100 for that :wink: i walked on, the arm rest isnt covered in any trim and is just a lump of plastic :(

The storage hole is pretty cool tho :rolleyes:

Well so far i have had 4/4 mornings with no spilt coffee & this morning was nice as i waited for the ice to defrost.

There a couple of different ones, one of them has like  leathery look top and a boot release button hidden beneath where the cubby hole is. another genuine one ive seen has a pop out drinks holder at the very rear of the unit for people in the back.

havent seen one with a leather trim and & boot release button... hmmm will keep any eye out.
