Title: What to do with my old 97 8v GTi
Post by: Tripod on 19 October 2010, 11:37
I am said to say that my old R plate GTi 8v that has seen better days, a few months ago I had a slight issue with it (wheel bearing failure, ripped wheel off etc) and while it was getting repaired I went and bought a SEAT Leon Cupra R.....  Lovely......

Golf now has all wheels pointing as it should.

But my Golf is now sitting outside with no MOT etc for the past 4 months and I am struggling to know what to do with her...I don't want to send her packing down to the Scrap Yard...  Any ideas what I could do with it or anyone that might take it off my hands? (SE, Dartford Area)

Thanks

Well, youd get the most money if you broke it. Or put it through an mot and try n shift it but they aint selling very well at the minute. Enjoy the cupra, I like them.

Loving the Cupra.... bit quicker than compared to my 8v..... hehe

I do want just rid to be honest, as I think it'll cost money to put it through the MOT..... Its Dragon Green, 110,000ish on the Clock..... FSH, up until last year.  How much we talking sniffer?

Might go down the route of giving it too charity, there is a webiste that sells them on lol.

How much do you think you'll part with it for as I wouldn't mind taking it so I can put the parts to good use on my 8v GTI. Could even come and collect it. :)

Your best bet by far is to break it yourself, failing that i'd wack it on eBay as sale for spares or repair. Even this should see you at least a couple of hundred quid

Lol.... The grill is 100% perfect to be honest..

I do actually have a badge less grill knocking about that has never been used... Still In it's box

Not looking for much couple of hundred maybe... I guess What I'll do is stick it on eBay and see what happens!! In guessing I am not allowed to post back the link to eBay once I get it on there!!

Cheers
