i think those things are called pillars...?! the things u take off t get ur roof lining out... cant find them any anywhere, does anyone know where to get them? fancy a go at sprayin em, but dont wanna spray mine if they f**k up i wont have another set :/

Ohhh fabulous!! Will try sort some out now :) jus lookin for some wheel arches now,dead expensive on bloody ebay,got a couple sets I'm watchin tho! And wheels should be on tomorrow :) x

Standard GTI pillar trim is not Black it is the normal cream colour. I have had four GTI's all with cream colour and any with Black have been altered.

Spot on Deano, all GTI's were cream headlining and pillars. The only ones that came with black pillars and headlining where the highline VR6's.

i take it they do make 3dr vr6s?! cos cant find any... and 5dr pillars arent gonna fit my 3dr?!

5doors are different to 3 doors. Just get a spare set and retrim/paint them it's not that hard! and probably much cheaper then a VR6 set.

Sprayed mine recently and was very happy happy with the outcome. Thoroughly clean then spray with an etch primer, I then spayed with a satin matt acrylic paint (forgot how many coats:3 cans worth?  :tongue:). Leave to dry and bobs your uncle. Did try lacquering one bit but had to strip twice as ended up being to glossy or to matt :sad:.

You could always retrim them..

They do a headliner retrim kit with the glue etc.

I used it for mine and it looks great..
