Title: Keyfob query

Guys, can you help?

Wife's Golf is having a service this Thursday at Sutton Coldfield VW (Venture) and found that the spare key has a flat battery (lack of use). They are charging £3 for a replacement battery but if the car needs coding, it jumps to £50. Heard of this one before?

You could always buy the battery yourself and do it yourself..

I used it on my MK5 about 2 yrs ago and worked a treat.
