Monzas or Monza Shadows (or different wheels again)?
Monzas should be easy enough to repair if the marks aren't deep but Monza Shadows are altogether more difficult to get 'as new' again due to their diamond cut finish and the shape of the rim.
Normally any kerbing will mean the rim will have to be milled which makes the hole cutouts slightly different to the other wheels. Not too bad if you put both the repaired wheels on the same side of the vehicle.
There are a few members on here who have had satisfactory refurbs on Shadows so I'm sure they'll be along to advise.
I had a set of Monza IIs refurbed on a previous mk5 Golf by Pristine. They did a good enough job but the finish didn't look 100% factory. However they said the lacquer they put on was probably better than the original stuff!
I've also known someone have a repair on a Monza II that had a chunk of metal out of the rim. The repair consisted of having a bit of metal welded into the rim and then it was milled and looked 100% afterwards. I was really surprised how well it came up. This was also done by Pristine as they were one of the few places that could do the diamond cut finish at the time.

You didn't say whether you've got Monzas or Monza Shadows or how bad the damage is.

If you've got Monzas and if it's minor, I found this pretty useful: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/realwhda.html

I just grazed the edge of my back right wheel on a wet night and the graze, scuff was about half an inch long and the techniques and materials quoted in the link above produced a really good result.

If you've got the diamond cut Shadows, it's a bit more complicated. I was referred to 'The Wheel Specialist' but never used them, preferring to do the work myself.

Hope this helps.

Just steer well clear of Spit and Polish in Kent, they are cr@p and will ruin your wheels.

I had some done by spit and polish and they came back perfect... although they only had minor cosmetic issues

I'm pretty sure there was before and after pics of monza's in the mk5 or cosmetic sections within the last couple of weeks.

Yes they did do a good job, think I will be using them to get mine done, just need the funds now.  Looks like they can loan a set of wheels until they are refurbed as well.

Spit and Polish but they had to do them a second time and much moaning to get them good. The first job they did was a joke, my 9 year old could have done better! Their customer service is appalling, they are rude and unprofessional.

I have the 17" Monzas on my Mark 6 GTI and stupidly clipped one on a high curb in a rush in a multi storey last week

So I tried 'The Wheel Specialist' in Nottingham and had a total refurb done for £88 and the result is brilliant, nigh on perfect
You just leave the car for a day with them.

They don't do smart repairs as they won't last.  Money well spent as far as I am concerned, but I'm glad I don't have the Monza Shadows from what they were telling me
