Hey guys
Does anyone know how i can stop my main bulbs coming on when i switch my sidelights on with the ignition on. Is there a wire going to the main bulb that i can cut to stop the main bulb lighting up???
Many thanks
Dan

If you mean dim-dip, it's supposed to do that, although to be fair not that many still do.
As you say, if your parking lights are on and you turn the ignition on, you yet a kind of 1/2 power beam from your headlights. Back in the day it was to prevent people from driving round with just there parking lights on. A bit like modern day DRL's, but you have to switch then on.

There's a little heater coil looking thing (dim dip coil) that is on the inside of the front bumper - I'm pretty sure that this is responsible for your main bulbs being on when you click your sidelights on.

Pack of Polo's voltage regulator to stop over heating of dipped and main beam. Rj knknows about the issues on that coil.

Basically i just put angel eyes on and i dont want the main dipped beam on as i got sidelights in my crystal indicators and the angel rings. So all i want on is the angel rings and the sidelights in the indicators, not the main dipped beams.
Hope that makes sense?

as above, its dim dip resister, has 2 yellow wires. follow wires back to a 2 pin plug, disconnect plug, bin resistor, win :)
