Title: Sidelights

Does anyone know how i can stop my main bulbs coming on when i switch my sidelights on with the ignition on. Is there a wire going to the main bulb that i can cut to stop the main bulb lighting up???

Post by: dubber36 on 15 October 2010, 21:24: If you mean dim-dip, it's supposed to do that, although to be fair not that many still do.

As you say, if your parking lights are on and you turn the ignition on, you yet a kind of 1/2 power beam from your headlights. Back in the day it was to prevent people from driving round with just there parking lights on. A bit like modern day DRL's, but you have to switch then on.

Post by: Ben Lessani on 15 October 2010, 22:30: There's a little heater coil looking thing (dim dip coil) that is on the inside of the front bumper - I'm pretty sure that this is responsible for your main bulbs being on when you click your sidelights on.

Post by: Ardz83 on 16 October 2010, 00:58: Basically i just put angel eyes on and i dont want the main dipped beam on as i got sidelights in my crystal indicators and the angel rings. So all i want on is the angel rings and the sidelights in the indicators,not the main dipped beams.

Hope that makes sense?
