Title: do all mk3's have the same connection for changing clocks?

hey ppl, i need some help, im gonna be changing my clocks v soon in my '94' plate golf, as mine dont light up even tho changed bulbs, and i just need to know if vw changed connections on later models?

any help would be appreciated.

I believe they all the same, 16v is 160mph speedo, 8v is 140.

VR6 clocks know what engine there connected too so yes :D
