Title: MK 6 2.0 GT TDI Has ran out of oil!
Post by: RR on 15 October 2010, 18:00
Hi

Has anybody had a similar experience? Oil light flashing and when checked the dipstick was showing that the engine oil was nearly non existent.  Its done less than 10k and is only a year old.  Where can the oil be going there is no leak on the drive!  Is this a common problem, or does this just happen with these engines?

Please help!

I think it is normal for this engine, the dealers say anything up to 0.5l per 1000KM. which for 10000 miles could be 9 litres...

The oil usage gets less with further miles.

They use oil, should be checked more often.
