Title: Which shocks should I get?
Post by: pipworks on 18 August 2003, 08:57
I did a bit of work to the car at the weekend and found my front suspension's pretty near shot, it's only the struts that need replacing.

Anyway, read a lot of posts on here and you seem to like the Koni adjustables as an alternative to standard.

Is there anything in the middle? I'm not thrashing my 90 8v round a track, but then wouldn't mind upgrading the suspension for a few ?'s more.

Any advice?

Cheers

Oh, and where's the best place to get them from?

Thanks for info on temperture readings,

When i purchased my golf the suspension seemed fine but brakes were crap so had to have two new rear calipers, while doing the job noticed the suspension was wet and had obviously lost it,s oil. so set to the task of replacing it. was told that boge gas is very competitive and is not that expensive. complete set around ?250 and can get this from g and s or euro car parts, anyway when i phoned to order from euro car parts they had a offer on bilstein streetline suspension kit, which included springs the lot, purchased for ?218. the car is lowered by 40mm which sounds alot but looks lush and doesnt make you look like a kev. car handles well now and am glad i done it
