Looking at buying either one or the other for the winter. I'd like the anti fog one but I'd also like the rain repellent one. If I buy rain repellent, and lightly apply it on the inside, would it have the same effect as the anti fog one or not?
-
Only if it rains on the inside.
No, they brought out the anti fog one for a laugh.

Price + halfords offer won't count
It's either outside, or inside job, I'm feeling inside job :undecided:

rain x is a waste of money imo... its utterly crap in comparison to carlack

Ahhh, I might hunt for another winter product then (3 for 2).

they're always doing 3 for 2 cause they try to shift loads of junk
applied carlack to my windscreen the other week... drove to london sunday before last in the pouring rain... didn't use my wipers once
-
I don't really do much driving at motorway speeds, (more town driving) so I'm not really bothered about using the wipers (that's what there there for )
I might go for the anti fog one, give it a try and see what's what.
-
little addition, never use rain x inside your car! makes things worse!
-
After some reading I've come to the conclusion of buying the outside stuff....Also, gonna buy the halfords own brand one. Pound less, for 50ml more, and apparently they are both the same effective.
-
don't come running to me when it all goes tits up...
-
Fine! I'll buy rainx!
-
Sorted the problem.
Bought both rainx products for rain and fog
-
in all seriousness though. Rain X is fine IMO, I know there are some real pro products out there but i can happily drive in pi55ing rain with no wipers, its easy to use and lasts many washes too, even halfrauds own brand is OK. you'll be fine... cant comment on the anti-fog stuff though.
-
pfft here we go again.
antifog doesnt work
when you apply it, it smears all over the screen, it a b!tch to buff up.
when the damp weather comes, the moisture sits on the inside of the screen in the form of WATER and not MIST. It runs and streaks all over the show.
Try clearing your screen with the blowers when there's WATER all over the inside of it. At least MIST clears with the blowers!
do not buy
-
Good point actually. I've not yet bought the stuff, just reserved it. Think I might change the order though :/
-
Rainx fog is pretty sh!t actually, I also find that the rainx 2in1 also makes my wipers go all juddery like the screen is to dry, but the plain old rainx is good stuff in my opinion and a bottle lasts ages.
