Title: Wont Idle From Cold

Hmm for some reason my MK2 GTi wont idle from a cold start anymore. once the car has warmed up its fine but from cold it just dies all the time. any ideas anyone?

Does the MK2 have a cold start valve like the MK1? If so could be that - worth checking.

well i looked on euro car parts for the MK2 GTi and it had cold start valve and warm up valve listed but no products available when i clicked the link so i am confused as to what it does have????

Could be a dodgey warm up regulator.

check the following link bunter. On page 5 there is tip from crazyquiff on how to test the cold start valve without removal. Applies to a MK1 but maybe helps???
