how do i check when the cam belt was last changed, its not in the service history so i dont want it to go bang :O

No real way of telling to be honest, if in doubt replace it.

+1 on changing the belt pronto. Cambelts are pretty unforgiving things; they sit there looking all innocent and then they snap and kill your engine. No real inbetweeny bit I'm afraid! Also, while your in there, change the belt tensioner as new belt and old tensioner won't always end happily either.

if i buy a car and there is nothing in the service book about the cam belt, i wouldjust replace with with a kit (belt and tensioner) dont risk it as stirring moose said they can bend you over backwards and rape u!
