Title: Knock sensor.
Post by: DarnPB on 10 October 2010, 18:18
Anyone got one? Need to try another for my 60. Finally got round to working on the old dear today to prep it for import and found the cable to the knock sensor in less than good condition. This could be the reason for my bad running.
MODS, please don't move this thread to WANTED. Not many people look there!

Mate TBH I think any secondhand ones are cracked due to them being so close to the bottom end of the block. I would rather get a new one than secondhand ones considering we are talking about the detination of your engine?

 054 905 377A or 377G Siemens sensors
 0 261 231 038 Bosch code?

I would support the 'only buy new' view - however mine was £50 from the stealers (8v PB).

they hardly ever cause any difference to the running of the car, mk3/audi 2.0 8v/16v ones also work. use the 16v one from the driver side of car, passenger side one obv the wire isnt long enough
