Title: Lime prime lite

Been getting my car ready for the winter months and have tried to use Lime prime lite but find it a pig to remove.

Can anyone put me in the right direction on how to apply and remove. At the moment im applying it lightly, waiting for it to dry/haze and then buffing it.

ALSO can anyone recommend a good wax for a white car, at the moment im using autoglym HD wax but want something a bit better but just as easy to apply and remove.

you need to work in small areas with lpl and its apply and buff off without letting it dry, basically work it into your area and have a clean microfibre to buff as soon as you've worked it in.

supernatural is awesome on white, collinite 476 or 915 or even easier to apply is collinite 845.

i put two layers of supernatural on the wifes bm on the 17th of september and it looked extremelly glossy and has faired well in the recent rain we've had and still looks really clean, im in the good books for that, lol!!

thanks for the advise, thought i was doing something wrong with the lime prime.

When applying the supernatural is it best to wet the foam applicator like you would with applying the autoglym HD wax?

no worrys, i did the same thing the first time i used LPL so your not alone.

yes dampen your applicator with either a spritz of water or qd. i just run it under the tap to start with and squeeze it out till theres no more dripps etc.

No you don't have too with Light Fantastic.

its not essential but can help in some cases,see how you get on without a damp applicator,if you think its worth trying with a damp applicator go for it,its whatever works for you, the dodo soft waxes generally go on with ease.

yer it goes on fine without damping just thought might get better finish if i damp the applicator not to worry i like the way i do it  :grin:

The first time I used LPL, I had the same problem. Luckily, I went to GTI Inters the following day and managed to ask the guy at the Dodo Juice stand.

Small amount onto a pad, spread it, then work it into the paint, and finally buff off with a microfibre cloth. Would spend around 2 mins per 2ft square section working it in.

dampening will only aid application it doesnt enhance the finish in any way.

@stealth, the guy you proberly spoke to at gti inters was Dom or pj the boss doggs.

Thanks for the advice guys, followed your tips on how to apply the lpl and it went on and off with ease.
