Last night when I went to work (10pm) I got in the car and started her up as normal and then noticed the airbag light had decided to stay on so I turned the ignition off and then back on and the light lit up and then went off as it should do so I decided to go to work then when I went to pull off the car wouldn't move I could feel the engine/front wheels pulling but it felt like the handbrake was still on so I put my foot down and there was a clunk/thud from the rear passenger side wheel and the car went forward (the airbag light came back on and stayed on at this point) I got out the car and had a look at the wheel and it seemed fine so I drove to work (the car drove normal no noises etc )
Anyone know what this thud could have been? also its drums on my rear (don't know if that makes a difference) also the airbag light has gone back to normal now so thats confusing me as well.
Cheers for any help

The first thing to do is to get it scanned with a VAG COM for fault codes

VAG reader is not going to tell you anything about your drum brakes. It sounds like the shoes may have seized to the drum the thud would have been the sound of them releasing from the drum. This is fairly common with drums if left for a while. If they have freed off i wouldnt worry about it.
For the air-bag light I would agree that VAG reader is probably the way to go.
