Title: 3dr to 4dr loom??????

can i put a 3dr 16v loom into a 4dr or will i need a 4 door 1 if any 1 no's, cud they let me no id much apreaciate it cheers,,,,,,,,,,,,?

you havent said what car it is!?.... and what loom,  or all of them, anyway its 99% yes either way (apart from interior door light wiring maybe).....

its a mk2 f reg 16v 2dr loom into a 4dr 90 spec or will i need a f reg 4dr 1 cheers..............

Should be the same but early and late looms are different, seems a backward step to be honest.

Won't the clocks 2 pin & 1 pin, dash Hazard & stalk wiring be different??

i hav a 3 dr f reg mk2 golf 1.8 16v an a 4 dr 90 spec mk 2 8v can i get a 3 dr 90 spec  loom 2 wrk with a pre 90 engine i hav the loom 4 this engine will it wrk if i change the hazard  switch or shal i just 4n an auto electrition 2 wire it in cheers....

I am struggling to read / make sense of this post.  :rolleyes:


Don't think a 16v loom will be any good for a 8v.

So you are putting the 16v engine from the F-reg into your 90spec 8v gti?

the 16v engine haz bin put in the 90 spec yesterday , nw i just want it running !

Easiest way will be to get a late spec 16v engine loom as this will plug straight into your fuesbox.

Rubjonny will no doubt be able to tell you whether it is possible to easily adapt the early wiring for your car

+1 later loom will be better
