Title: Dash Conversions

I was wondering which dash's will fit the mk2?

Audi TT?
Mk3?
BMW E30?

Whats really involved in these swaps? How do you change things like the dials, speedo and heater pannel?

Diz is the resident dash-swap specialist. 

You need to see his mk 2, he has transplanted a Mk3 dash himself (including clocks and column stalks IIRC) and has done an awsome job.

At the time he published some pretty comprehensive photos showing what he had to do to get it all fitting and working. have aword and prepare to be impressed  :smiley:

Yeah i thought dizzie would be the main reply but i have not seen any detailed pics. Plus im more interested in something fancy like a TT dash.

Without wishing to sound unhelpful (!) anything will fit if you throw enough cash at it.

I know of a company in Holland that supply and install a TT dash and guages etc for about ?1000 (exchange rate dependant) so I'm pretty sure it will fit with enough time/money/fiddling!

I'm pretty sure that the BMW dash you mentioned will also fit (I think that was fitted to the Golf fitted with the Cossie lump, featured on eBay a couple of days ago IIRC) but I'm guessing that straying from the vag group will make it even harder to get the thing working!

Yeah i saw that but it was a bit rally hacked with extra guages etc.

The S3 jobbie looks very nice indeed.

I'm not a fan of changing interiors (seats door cards etc) enless you can get the whole lot trimmed the same - In my opinion that willl always let an interior down if it doesn't all match - worst examples being when front seats are changed and door cards/rear bench/rear 1/4 panel cards not re-trimmmed to suit.
