Title: Mk2 GTI bike carb conversion

thinking of doing the carb conversion to possibly bike carbs
4 questions
1. what parts will i require???
2. what ones are recommended ( brand wise)
3.what sort of price will i or should i pay for them?
4. how easy is it to do?

I think you're going to get a similar range of answers from here, do a search - its been covered a lot.

Fit an ABF for more power, fit ITBs for more power on that.

Carbs are outdated, unreliable, hard to set-up

If it's an 8v then the inlet is by the bulkhead above a hot exhaust, not optimum. As for 40's or 45's on a KR that can be fruity but ( as with everything) if you or a good mate doesn't know what they are doing it will be major PITA.

But as Ben says you'll get a similar range of answers, and it has been covered on previous threads a lot  :smiley:
