Title: spraying satin black

if i am spraying satin black on to metallic paint do i need to used some lacquer or would the satin on its own be oks?

Should be fine aslong as you have prep'd the area ready for spraying

my bonnets in a state so thought would do the outer parts in matt as i have a nasty scratch

Flat black is great, well any flat colour looks good i think

I can get a respray/blast over from my mates brother who owns a spray shop for £500-700 but i want that green now lol

Thinking of getting it resprayed next year as my body works in a right state going to do all the prep work my self to keep costs down going to smooth bumpers, etc

ok this is the plan. . . probably a long term plan but a plan any the less lol

refurbish alloys [next couple of months]
switch out seats for recaro interior black headliner pilers etc
finish sticker bomb [half way done]
bolf [never ging to be fast so going to be different ish lol]
Smooth bumpers, badge less grill [want us rub strip and relocate number plate but think that wont happen]
respray if i go for satin black sticker bomb roof if flat green ill strip the sticker bomb just have black interior
Raise the slump
Drop it more !
Replace slump lol :grin:

hopefully i can get it done, since i ve had the car all i ve done is fix things lol hopefully after i ve done the rear beam bushes and replace the MAF it well start going a week with out repairing anything lol

Finally getting round to doing my final coat of matt on the golf defo lacquering it to keep some protection on it, hopefully it well keep a bit matt.

did it but not very happy with the lacquering the matt went down rigth well looked great then the lacquer when down patchy and ended up putting more on then i wanted, it well do till i bolf my golf next year.

Side note anyone got a pic of a bora bonnet done the same as myn ?

after first coat, pics dont do it juictice looked great  :evil: also roped one of the lads in to helping  :smug:
