Title: New member in East London
Post by: RAPTOR on 26 January 2005, 15:34
Hi guys and girls.

This is my first post. Cracking forum. I've been browsing it for a while now. I've owned golfs for 10 years. My first one was a b- reg 1600Cl, done up like a GTI of course! When i got fed-up being outdragged by Suzuki Swift GTIs and the like, I changed to a C-reg K-jet 8valve, which i've owned for 8 years now. I love the car so much that i've not been able to change it.

Even though I have just purchased a '94L 16v MK3 GTI, i'll be keeping the Mk2 as a second car. I've done quite a bit to it, Koni/Eibach, interior etc. and the fun factor is still there. The Mk3 will appease the wife who's fed up of the hard (or so she says!) suspension. There are my two young kid's to consider, although my 3 year old boy is already turning into a golf nut. The Mk3 is not as raw to drive as the Mk2 and it is completely standard, and i intend to keep it that way (so help me God!).

I'd be grateful if anyone could point me to a reputable specialist VW garage in the East London area. I need the cambelt changed on the Mk3 16v.

Thanks

Raptor
