Title: HIC = WIN
Post by: Agreeable Slick on 02 October 2010, 15:39
Can you give my missus a ring please, she is after a quote for her Polo, and has tried call back, but no one rang, and the online quote button brings her back to a call back screen.

I'll PM the details to you.

Cheers bud.

to be honest dude, a change in my role means im very rarely on the phones now. Try asking for Danny who is also on here (make sure she says she got the number through Golfgti.co.uk and you usually deal with me) and we will take it from there....

Well, managed to get hold of Danny today. Top fella!

Managed to beat a pretty good package from RAC with exactly (and in some cases more) package added to it. Apologies for the multiple phone calls and little bit of confusion  but we shall be joining the HIC masses come end of the month.

Once again, great service, great bloke, and very accommodating.

Just a quick follow up.

Danny: we got the bit through the post with the keyring on. Is there another one on it's way RE: the actual docs and the other forms we need to fill out? Missus is convinced that she was going to be emailed something, but as of yet only received the key ring bit. Obviously the cover should have gone live on Tuesday.

Cheers for any help.

Sorry to hijack but so good to see an insurance company have such a good relationship with the forum. I'll be giving HIC a call when my insurance is up for renewal.

Just had my renewal through from HIC today. It's gone up from £128 to £135 this year    Do you reckon it's worth me shopping round, or will HIC help me out a bit?

I was with Adrian Flux last year, and they gave me a very good price on my old MK3 1.8 GL with all my mods covered like for like. However when it came to owning my MK3 16v, the quote shot from £600 to £2000!!!! I don't think so.

Adrian Flux are a sister company to HIC so because the quotes I received were pants, I had to take my business elsewhere. Admiral kindly covered me for £700 with mods declared (not like for like but better than nothing) and that's who I'll be with until this policy runs out. I will try Adrian Flux/HIC again come renewal but I don't understand how a specialist company can quote so high when a non specialist company can quote so little.

Insurance eh?
