Title: Removing rear beam
Post by: shepgti on 02 October 2010, 09:08
What's the best way to support the car in order to remove the rear beam and is it just a case of undoing the 4 bolts, brake lines and handbrake cable. Tools I have are trolley jack, bottle jack, a driveway and 2 axle stand.

Cheers

Edit: sills are rotten so no good for support.

This isnt my car, pic taken from mk1 owners..  I put mine on stands just in front of the beam mounts. best place, make sure you use small bits of wood.
