Hi,
1994 Mk3, actually it's a Cab 2.0lt Avantgarde that came with the 115bhp 8v engine.
If this is the same engine and out put as a GTI, then I wonder the reason for only 4 stud (vented though) discs are up front and drums at rear with no ABS? Mixed bag?
It now has 17" decent alloys and a set Fulda Carat Extremo 205 40 17, (which are extremely quiet and so far have excellent grip).
The previous tyres have worn very evenly and I do not experience any steering issues, however by virtue of the new alloys / tyre size does it follow the tyres will wear on the outer edges? If so, are there recommendations?
Thanks in anticipation.

I wouldnt imagine you would need to do anything some people say you should have your wheels aligned when putting new wheels and tryes on especially bigge... if your not changng the suspension your camber should be ok i would have thought i just got mine done camber and wheel alingment and it was all slightly out so maybe worth doing

Yes it is the same engine as the GTI, standard settings should be fine unless it is lowered.
