I have a 59 GTD, and want to change the lights to xenon lights.. Is there any 'kits' out there, i can just buy and have fitted? What have you chaps done?
Any info is greatly appreciated.
Paul.

Technically by the letter of the law you need projector lenses, washer jets and self levelling sensors.
That doesn't stop people from just throwing in a set of HIDs without levelling sensors and washer jets (which I think can be overkill, a decent set of HIDs with projector lenses is fine by me, but I dont make the law).

Any links to any kit i could buy, i have seen several on fleabay, but to be honest, i have no idea what i am buying.
I just wanna be able to buy a complete kit, and take it somewere to be fitted lol.

Is it the xenons as in the optional extra on the GTI ones or an aftermarket kit?
Aftermarket kits dont wire up to the MK6 Golf bulb carrier set up. Already looked into it. Guys from Croatia and Italy (i think) have managed to do it and couple from U.S.A but think it has involved connecting up to battery and stuff which does not interest me.
Maybe have a wee google, it was on Mk6 Golf forum and Vortex i read it.

what about the DRL's? Can you do them and not the headlights?
Sounds like the upgarde xenons will be expensive? Were can i get those R Rears btw?
